Service Overview

Commercial work, on commercial timelines.

Commercial electrical is a different sport than residential. Punch lists, change orders, GC coordination, multi-phase inspection sequences, and after-hours work to avoid tenant disruption. We run the truck on commercial schedules — not residential schedules with commercial pricing.

Our commercial scope covers the full lifecycle: new construction rough-in, tenant build-outs, panel replacements and load upgrades, EV charging infrastructure for fleets and customer parking, security and access control wiring, commercial solar tie-ins, and the unglamorous troubleshooting work that keeps a property running.

For government accounts (city, county, state, federal), we handle the documentation chain that comes with public work: certified payroll on prevailing-wage jobs, Davis-Bacon compliance, post-job documentation packages. We’ve worked across the East Tennessee public sector and know what each agency wants in their close-out package.

We also work directly for general contractors and property managers as the electrical sub on multi-trade builds. We hit our schedule, we don’t hold up other trades, and we don’t make the GC chase us for paperwork.

How We Run This Job

Five steps. No surprise invoices.

Step 01

Text or call us first

Describe the job. We follow up with a phone chat to scope it, then we send your quote. Same-day for most residential.

Step 02

On-site walk-through

For larger jobs, we come out, look at the panel, and talk through what you actually want. Free. No “let me get back to you.”

Step 03

Itemized estimate

Every line item priced. Materials, labor, permit, inspection. You see exactly where the dollars go before you sign anything.

Step 04

Job day · permits handled

We pull permits, coordinate with the county inspector, and arrive when we said we would. We protect your floors. We label every breaker. We test every circuit before we leave.

Step 05

Inspection & sign-off

Inspector signs off, we walk you through what changed, we hand over the documentation. If anything ever flickers, you have our cell.

Commercial electrical work by Volt Pro Services

We needed a 600A service replacement on an occupied retail space and a 14-day window. Volt Pro coordinated the utility, the inspector, and the tenant relocations across three nights, finished on day 12, and gave us a clean close-out package. Best commercial sub we’ve worked with this year.

Common Questions

Five things we get asked every week.

Do you work as a sub for general contractors?
Yes. Direct subcontracting on multi-trade builds is a significant share of our commercial work. We hit your schedule, we don’t hold up other trades, we send the certified payroll on time, and we don’t make you chase paperwork.
Can you handle prevailing-wage and government work?
Yes. We do prevailing-wage work for city, county, state, and federal accounts in East Tennessee. Certified payroll, Davis-Bacon compliance, and the close-out packages required by your AHJ. Have done work for multiple municipalities in Sevier and Knox counties.
Can you do after-hours commercial work?
Yes. Restaurants, retail, medical — we routinely run nights and weekends to avoid tenant disruption. We bring the lighting and the protection equipment so the on-site spaces are safe and we don’t leave demo or open conductors at end of shift.
Commercial EV charging — do you do networked installs?
Yes. ChargePoint, EVgo, BTC Power, EvoCharge, and ABB networked installs. Plus standalone non-networked when that’s the cleaner solution for your business model. We also do load management for high-density parking-lot installs.
Do you carry the right insurance for commercial work?
Yes. General liability with $1M+ per occurrence, worker’s comp, and umbrella as required for the project. We’ll send the COIs to your insurance department or your GC at quote time — that’s a normal part of our intake.
