New construction. Rough to finish.
New residential and small-commercial construction. Rough-in (boxes, conductors, panel pre-wire), finish (devices, fixtures, labeling), generator-ready service, EV-ready garage circuits, solar-ready conduit chase. Coordinated with the GC schedule so we don’t hold up other trades.
Build for the home you will actually own.
Most new construction electrical is sized to minimum code, not to how the home will actually be used over its life. Then four years later the owner adds a heat pump, an EV, a hot tub, and a home office, and the panel is full. A modest upgrade in the budget at new-build time saves an expensive panel upgrade later.
Our new-construction scope is full-lifecycle: pre-construction electrical design (working with the GC and architect on panel placement, service size, circuit count, and any future-proofing decisions), rough-in (boxes set, conductors pulled to every device location, panel pre-wired, ground rods driven), and finish (devices installed, fixtures hung, panel labeled, inspector walked).
The future-proofing decisions we routinely recommend on every new build: oversize the service to 200A minimum even if 100A would code-pass (the cost delta is small and the future flexibility is large), pre-wire a NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage even if there’s no EV today, run a 4-inch conduit chase from the basement to the roof for future solar, and pre-wire the panel for a Generac whole-home generator transfer switch even if the generator isn’t in scope. None of these are expensive at new-build time; all of them are expensive after the fact.
We work directly for general contractors as the electrical sub on multi-trade builds. We hit the schedule, we don’t hold up other trades, we keep our materials and tools cleaned up at end of shift, and we don’t make the GC chase us for paperwork. We carry million-dollar general liability and full worker’s comp.

New-construction scope.
Pre-construction electrical design
Working with the GC and architect on panel placement, service size, circuit count, and future-proofing. Better to spend an hour pre-design than rework after rough-in.
Rough-in
Boxes set per the plan, conductors pulled to every device location, panel pre-wired, ground rods driven, service-entrance rough complete. Inspection-ready when the framer is done.
Finish
Devices installed, fixtures hung, panel populated, every breaker labeled to the circuit, GFCI and AFCI tested, inspector walked through. Hand-off ready when the painter is done.
EV-ready, generator-ready, solar-ready
NEMA 14-50 in the garage, panel pre-wired for a transfer switch, 4-inch conduit chase to the roof for future solar. all standard recommendations on every new build, none expensive in pre-construction.
Smart-home pre-wire
Cat6 home runs from a central location to every TV, office, and access point spot. Conduit drops for future fiber, HDMI, or low-voltage. Built-in flexibility for whatever smart-home platform the owner picks.
GC coordination
We hit the schedule. We don’t hold up other trades. We clean up at end of shift. We don’t make the GC chase us for COIs or certified payroll. Standard part of how we run commercial-residential GC subcontracting.

Text or call us first
Describe the job. We follow up with a phone chat to scope it, then we send your quote. Same-day for most residential.
On-site walk-through
For larger jobs, we come out, look at the panel, and talk through what you actually want. Free. No “let me get back to you.”
Itemized quote
Every line item priced. Materials, labor, permit, inspection. You see exactly where the dollars go before you sign anything.
Job day · permits handled
We pull permits, coordinate with the county inspector, and arrive when we said we would. We protect your floors. We label every breaker. We test every circuit before we leave.
Inspection & sign-off
Inspector signs off, we walk you through what changed, we hand over the documentation. If anything ever flickers, you have our cell.
Volt Pro was our electrical sub on three new builds in 2025. They hit every rough-in deadline, no callbacks on inspection, sent the certified payroll without me asking, and the panels were the cleanest finish work my super has seen on a residential.
Five things we get asked every week.
Do you work directly for general contractors?
Do you do new construction for owner-builders?
What does new-construction electrical cost?
What is the timeline from rough-in to finish?
Should I future-proof the electrical even if I am not planning solar or EV?
New build in planning?
On-site walk-through within the week. Itemized quote before any work starts.
If it shocks you, we got you. A licensed Tennessee electrician serving Sevierville, Knoxville, and the Smoky Mountains corridor.
