The federal Investment Tax Credit documentation your CPA needs is different. And the timeline is different — from quote to operation is typically 4-8 months, not 6-12 weeks.
We handle the electrical scope on commercial PV: three-phase inverter selection and sizing (SMA Sunny Tripower, SolarEdge Three-Phase, Fronius Symo, or central inverter for utility-scale), interconnect equipment (production meter, disconnect, current transformers), and the utility coordination with your TVA-LPC distributor.
We coordinate with the structural engineer on roof-load calculations and with your PV module supplier on racking and array layout. For ground-mount installs, we design the trench routing and DC home runs alongside the civil contractor on site.
For businesses pursuing the federal ITC and bonus depreciation, we provide the documentation package your CPA needs: itemized labor and materials by category, manufacturer warranty documents, commissioning data, and the cost-segregation breakdown that ties into your depreciation schedule. Most commercial installs cash-flow positive in year 5-7 once tax treatment is factored.

Three-phase inverter sizing
SMA Sunny Tripower, SolarEdge Three-Phase, Fronius Symo for distributed installs. Central inverter (SMA Sunny Central, Power Electronics, etc.) for utility-scale ground-mounts.
Structural coordination
We work with your structural engineer on roof load calcs, ballasted vs penetrated racking, and column-load distribution for ground-mounts. Roof reinforcement quoted separately when required.
Utility interconnect
TVA-LPC commercial interconnect studies, production metering, point-of-interconnection coordination. Larger installs require system impact studies; we manage that timeline with the utility.
ITC + bonus depreciation documentation
Federal Investment Tax Credit (30 percent + adders) documentation package for your CPA. Cost segregation, in-service date documentation, MACRS depreciation schedule support.
Battery and microgrid integration
Commercial battery storage (Tesla Megapack, Generac PWRcell Commercial, Enphase IQ Battery banks) for peak shaving, demand reduction, or backup. Microgrid controls integration when in scope.
Commissioning + handoff
Full commissioning report with megger readings, insulation resistance, ground continuity, inverter parameter logs. Operations and maintenance manual delivered at project close.
